Do you want to smash your Personal best time, get fit for an event or just want to generally improve your fitness level.

Does you current training lack any structure or progression?

Using over 20 years of experience being a competitive athlete I can help you get to the next level of your running and slash minutes of your personal bests. It’s not all about just going out for a long run, I will advise you on specific sessions aimed at improving your running technique and increasing your speed and stamina.

Sessions are designed for all levels:

Beginners

This training plan is designed to get you from the sofa to the point where you can run 30 minutes (about 2 miles) at a slow, relaxed pace. It’s a simple, progressive program beginning with more walking than running, then evolves into more running than walking.

Intermediate

This training plan is designed for runners who can confidently run, or who are looking to start racing.

Advanced

This training plan is designed for experienced runners looking to improve their performances or take their training to the next level.

Running is not only beneficial to your fitness but can help your weight loss goals as well.

Training is not just limited to long runs. We will work on:

Running technique

I will fine tune your technique through different drills and exercises to optimise your running.

Speed endurance

This training can improve the clearance rate of lactic acid and reduce the time it takes for lactic acid to kick in.

Interval training

This is described as short periods of work followed by rest. This training has been shown to also improve your lactate threshold. (time it takes before lactic acid kicks in)

Circuit/strength training

Even the best distance runners in the world lift weights. Depending on how fast your are running, you can experience 1.5 to 3 times your bodyweight of force going through each leg. So to reduce the impact this has on your body, strength work is an important part of your training.
